Gerald (Jerry) E. Davis was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing a six-year tour in the Army in 1968, he graduated from the American Institute of Banking. While working for National City Bank, he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Kent State University in 1970.

Jerry began his career in the automobile industry in 1975 with Audiovox Corporation, a distribution company marketing automobile sound systems and equipment to new car dealerships. He was soon promoted to Vice President of Audiovox Florida and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1979.

In 1985, Jerry became Vice President of Marketing for United Service Protection Inc., a vehicle service contract company. He traveled nationally serving dealers established through dealer group networks.

In 1988, Jerry became President of his own corporation, Jerry Davis & Associates. Jerry Davis & Associates was a general agency marketing insurance related products to new and used car dealerships.

In 1991, Jerry Davis became Vice President of Norman & Company, Inc. and helped to create the Classic product line, initially to market a single GAP product, but was expanded to carry over 15 different automobile related products and a proprietary reinsurance program. Norman & Company, Inc. markets its products outside of Florida through a network of several hundred independent agents.
